This song is very versatile - you can start your basic on the first beat, or you can do some intro moves for the first four bars and wait for the lyrics to kick in - "Voy manejando por la noche y pienso en ti" ("I'm driving at night and I think about you"). Towards the end of the first four bars there's an obvious build up to the lyrics.
The next four bars you could do some basic turns or sensual moves, and again, after four bars there's an obvious build up to a new stanza: "Y la radio está tocando tu canción" ("The radio is playing your song") - which has the same energy as the previous stanza.
Then we have "Y las luces de los autos brillan como las estrellas en el cielo del dolor" - time for some more funky moves like the campana or caminata. Which brings us neatly to the chorus:
"Dime - ¿Dónde estarás? ¿Dónde estarás? ¿Todavía piensas en mí? ¿Dónde estarás? ¿Dónde estarás? Yo sigo pensando en ti"
("Tell me - where will you be? Where will you be? Are you still thinking about me? Where will you be? Where will you be? I'm still thinking about you")
These chorus lyrics are slow and ideal for sensual moves like leans, dips and body rolls. Time to shine! And you can reprise them again when the chorus comes around again - wait for the "Di-me"!
The song repeats the pattern, and then towards the end (around 3:50 on the video below) you get some strong signalling that the last line is coming - time for one of your famous dips or tricks!
In terms of the lyrics, yes it's just another song about love, but it's one I can get emotional about - "La carretera se hace larga y yo siento que puedo morir" ("the road is long and I feel like I could die") - and "Quiero saber si todavía te quedará un poquito de amor por mí" - ("I want to know if you still have a little bit of love for me") - don't tell me that Prince Royce doesn't tug at your heart strings!
